Routers are not allowed on the network. UTC network equipment check for and disconnect them when found.

Windows 2000, XP with IE6


Open up Internet Explorer 6. If you have a homepage it will automatically go to the main portal; otherwise try any website. Once your browser has attempted to access the internet you will be taken to the Network Access website. Click on the link that says >>Register your computer on the.....

Click the link under UTC USERS.

You will then be asked to login to download the client software. Use your normal UTCID and password. Then click download.

Enter your UTCID and password and pick Wireless Laptop from the drop down menu.

You will be asked to download the software. Click Save File.

Click Save File.

Browse to the folder where you saved the file and run the program. Usually double-clicking on the file will accomplish this.

Run the exe file.

When the setup program starts up, click Next.


The software will install.


After you close the installer, the program will ask for to login, please use your UTCID and password.


After you log in, the program will start scanning your computer.


When scanning is complete it will notify you with the outcome of the scan.


If you recieve this message the computer has meet the minimum requirements.



When the install is done, click Close.


If you did not pass all of the requirements you will get a page that tells you what you did not pass. You will only have access to specific sites to allow you to update/clean your computer to pass the requirements.
